Continuous Integration: Continuous integration (the CI in CI/CD) is the practice of integrating, or combining, the code written by developers into a shared repository on a frequent basis, so that tests can be run, and the software can be built and then verified as still viable.
Continuous Delivery: Continuous Delivery (the first type of CD in CI/CD) is broadly defined as the capability of giving software changes to users and doing so in a safe way that is both rapid and sustainable, while leaving the decision to deploy to “production” in the hands of a person (or group).
Continuous Deployment: Continuous Deployment (the second type of CD in CI/CD) is the logical extension of Continuous Delivery. With Continuous Delivery we automated the delivery process to the point that all valid changes are automatically deployed to “production”.
